I often wonder what beauty means to God. (And if it means anything at all?) Sometimes I look at people and see the beauty they portray. If we look a bit deeper, what is the beauty you carry in your heart? God made beautiful people. He made us according to His image. But the image is not just the external as we perceive it. 1 Samuel 16:7 "But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” Have you examined the beauty of your own heart lately?

Many Christians have given up their fight or rather battle to receive their healing, on living upright lives, some are struggling to stay faithful to their partners, and to follow God’s plan, and to obtain financial stability. Others find themselves giving up on situations where family members may be abusive, where they see no way out of a difficult situation, or even just pure peer pressure among the youth.
Smith Wigglesworth was born in 1859 to a very poor family. His father did manual labor, for very little pay. Smith himself went to work at the age of six to help with the family income. At six he was pulling turnips and at seven he was working in a woolen mill twelve hours a day. As a result of his circumstances he was unable to attend school, and ended up illiterate.
"Be still and know that I am God" I used to think that this verse is that quite reflection you have when you think of God. Until God told me to be still. Let me tell you straight up: It's not that easy for an outspoken woman.
“For God alone my soul waits in silence and quietly submits to Him, for my hope is from Him.” – Psalm 62:5
Shortly after Valentine’s Day you find the first Easter eggs on the shelves. Now I don’t know about your children, but when my kids sees it, their little faces lighten up and they shout silent hoorays! Although they do know and understand the true meaning of Easter, they still can’t wait for that special delivery of delicious chocolate eggs! Like any other family, we have created certain traditions around Easter. And spending quality time with the entire family is a much higher priority than the hope of seeing a fluffy bunny who delivers eggs. Easter to our family is a time of love and a time to get spoiled, but most importantly a time to be reminded of what Jesus did for us on the cross. “No one has greater love [nor stronger commitment] than to lay down his own life for his friends.” – John 15:13 AMP |
