"Be still and know that I am God" I used to think that this verse is that quite reflection you have when you think of God. Until God told me to be still. Let me tell you straight up: It's not that easy for an outspoken woman.
"Be still and know that I am God" became deeper and more significant. I had to be still physically in the areas of my life God showed me. I had to be still spiritually to really KNOW that He is God! I had to be still emotionally because honey let me tell you, my emotions have fun with me at times, even though I know that I am not that emotionally immature.
When you are in an argument with your spouse or a friend, be still...
When you are being treated unfairly at work, be still...
When your children aren't acting like the angels you want them to be, be still...
When it feels like your heart has been ripped from your chest, be still...
When you lost someone dear, be still...
When you receive bad news, be still...
When you don't know where your next meal will come from, be still...
When it feels your world is spinning off its axis, be still...
When you fall to your knees and pray, be still...
And know...
That He is God!
What you give to God in prayer, trust that He has got it! "Commit your ways onto the Lord, also Trust Him, and He will bring it to pass." Become still in your spirit and just know...
Be still...
Shalom, Shalom
