Matthew 4:18-20 “As He was walking by the Sea of Galilee, He noticed two brothers, Simon who is called Peter and Andrew his brother, throwing a dragnet into the sea, for they were fishermen. And He said to them, ‘Come after Me, follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men!’. At once they left their nets and became His disciples.” |
Have you ever had a conversation with someone that told you that they just want to first ‘enjoy this phase of their life’, then they will get their life in order? Some of us react on the first call, but some wait until the tenth or twentieth call. After how many calls did you react? We need to become like Peter, and not wait for something to happen, but react immediately to God’s voice!
Prayer: Dedicate a friend / family member / colleague to God in prayer, and ask Him to supernaturally touch this person’s life. And have faith that our Father will do this (so in other words don’t pray, and then turn around and start preaching to them again just in case!)
Spiritual growth: God’s Word tells us that we are not to judge people. And I want to add, you need to be particularly careful not to judge someone who don’t know God yet. So from today onwards, never ask “when will the penny drop” for someone again. Rather dedicate them to God in prayer, and ask Him to touch their lives.
