James 1:2-3 “Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations. Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience.” Discussion: What does endurance, steadfastness and patience means to you in a practical way? Prayer: Ask Abba Father to bless you with situations where you will be able to understand the full meaning of endurance, steadfastness and patience. And praise Him while you are learning, because it is not necessarily nice to go through the learning process. Spiritual Growth Challenge: Challenge yourself today to be patient with someone at work / a family member, who usually rubs you up the wrong way. Commit to learning these skills, and strengthen this endurance by doing this every day for the next week (you will realize that every day it becomes easier, if you just tell yourself that you CAN DO IT through Christ Who strengthen you). |
