“…sing Hymns and Psalms to the Lord with praise in your heart.” – Ephesians 5:19 (b)
“Praise Him with drums and dancing. Praise Him with harps and flutes. Praise Him with cymbals. Praise Him with loud cymbals. Praise the Lord all living creatures! Praise the Lord!” – Psalm 150:4-6
Did you know that the word Hallelujah is Hebrew for Praise the Lord? While we sing our thoughts are focused, and as a church we move into unity all giving praise at the same time (that is powerful!). When we praise and worship the Lord, we stand in admiration for what He has done for us, we bring honour to Him, and we devote ourselves to our living God while giving thanks. And this is why I love to sing and dance!
Prayer: Give thanks to the Lord while singing and dancing in front of Him today.
Journal entry: Write down the words of the chorus of one of your favourite Gospel songs. And whenever you feel a little bit down, just sing this to the Lord and see how everything changes inside of you.
