Verse: Genesis 2: 25 “And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.”
Man and woman were not ashamed of each other. Woman did not look at her thighs and thought “I should cover this up, I don’t want him to see the cellulite” or “Maybe he will love me more if my breasts were a bit bigger” Not at all! They saw each other through the eyes of God. They trusted God and each other wholeheartedly, and had no secrets from each other, therefore absolutely nothing to hide from each other. We, as woman need to accept and love ourselves the way God made us. Defects (what we think) and all. We need to be brave and honest with our spouses at all times. (Yes, even the credit card bill). There should be nothing in your life standing between you and your man, and certainly not ANYTHING between you and God.
Spiritual Growth: Do you have secrets from your spouse? Are there walls between you which are keeping you from complete unity in your lives? What can you do start breaking down the bricks to stand unashamed before each other.
