1 Kings 21: 25 "But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the Lord, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up."
Doesn’t everyone know someone who just loves to stir things up? (I’m pretty sure a few names just popped in your head.) But the true question is: are you like that? Gossip and lies are all seeds of someone “stirring”. If the situation or conversation doesn’t have anything to do with you, stay out of it. Stirring only works wicked in the sight of the Lord. The secret of not “stirring up” anything starts with you. How you see, think and approach the situation and mostly how you influence your spouse. Guard your mouth to what you say to your husband and friends about people and situations in your lives
Prayer: Father, when I feel the whirlpool of stirring something in someone else’s live, please calm my soul and remind me of Jezebel and that stirring only works wickedness in Your eyes.
Spiritual Growth: It’s important to have a strong discernment when it comes to lies, gossip and stirring about someone else. And sometimes you are on the receiving end of these seeds. When you do find yourself there, forgive.
