Verse: Genesis3:7 “Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings” Have you ever heard the phrase: “You have to be comfortable in your own skin”? The moment when man & woman realized they sinned, they were overwhelmed with shame. The realization of being naked and seeing themselves for what they are, where too much and they tried to hide it behind fig leaves. Shamefulness follows directly after sin. The instant you are made aware of your sin, you are ashamed of it. (And in most cases, you try to hide it.) It is a natural response and we need to know and accept that we aren’t perfect. We have flaws, we make mistakes, we sin and we are ashamed. |
Prayer: Father, we thank you for Jesus Christ our Messiah who came to take our sins on him and who have overcome our shamefulness. I can come to You for forgiveness and healing and You love me and have mercy on me. With you, Father, I can lift my head high and proudly say: “I’m the daughter of the Only King”
Spiritual Growth: Are you ashamed? Take it to God and try to share it with someone you trust. Bring it to the Light because the Light overcomes all darkness. You are too precious to live a shameful life. Share this with someone today.
