I clearly remember 19 September only a year ago. Rain blessing the earth and I was looking at the drops running down the window in my office. God said to me: "Start a blog!" I thought I heard wrong. I don't have any idea where to start and what to write about. I'm not an author and who would listen to what I have to say? I rambled on with my "Moses" speech that I'm clearly not the right person for this task, but the more I tried to shy away from it, the more the Holy Spirit persisted. Throwing my hands in the air, knowing I will NOT win, I surrendered to God and said: "Use me! This is about You Lord, give me the words." And He did! In an afternoon the site was created and the 1st ever blog of Women of the Word was posted. God's Living water flowed over every word and seed showed life. Women of the Word grew, and God send some awesome women to write as well. This was truly a blessing. God created a platform for women to tell their story to inspire and support other women. From the abundance of the blogs grew the daily devotionals which reaches about 1,600 women every morning on their mobile phones. Speechless! |
The words written that make up the blogs and devotionals are from the heart of our Heavenly Father. "These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full." John 15:11. Without the heavenly Joy from God, this whole journey with you would not have been possible. The words just flow and I am filled with tremendous joy when I click on the "Publish" button. My prayer is: May God bless you and fill you with His Joy when you read what He shares.
These were the first words written: "For the first ever inspirational for this blog, I wanted to publish something spectacular! Weaving words together to inspire and encourage. I prayed, pondered and scribbled, but nothing seemed to be just right. And I realized the message I want to carry over, cannot be said better than the Words of the Word itself - Psalm 139. I still feel like this when I sit down to write. It's all about God and His Word and His Love. I surrender to Him every time and say: Use me!
Not only do I celebrate the blooms and blossoms of the new season this year, but also the completion of Women of the Words first year. Ecclesiastes 3:4 "A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;" Celebrate with us and let us celebrate God! Let us praise His Holy name, for He is worthy of ALL praise! Let us Bless His name! Let us Love Him who Loved us first! You are truly God of Your Word and we praise You and Bless Your wonderful Name! Let us dance before Him in the fullness of His joy!
Celebrate God with us this month of September!
Celebrate Him in every aspect of your life!
Thank You God for choosing us!
Thank You God for each precious woman you brought into our lives!
Thank You God for reaching these women on a daily basis with Your loving Word!
Shalom, shalom!
