I know everyone reading this has a cell phone, and I’m sure everyone is aware of the enormous variety of games you can download these days…right? Well, my daughter owns a virtual pet shop as well as a virtual cat. But because she is too young to have her own cell phone, she plays all her games on my phone. And I honestly don’t have a problem sharing my phone with my daughter. The only dilemma with sharing the phone is that I need to feed the whole neighborhood before I can go to bed at night! I can ignore them, it is an option, but they will remind me right through the night that I forgot about them. The virtual cat will even get nasty about it, and send me all sorts of crazy messages to say that he wants to leave because I’m neglecting him!

Have you ever wondered what the tower of Babel (Genesis 11:1-9) looked like? Although I know it was impossible for the people back then to have built something as picturesque and magnificent as the skyscrapers in Dubai, I do like the idea of thinking that they might have inspired the Dubai architects! But apart from the fact that they wanted to build something much bigger than what they needed, they wanted to do this all for their own glory. So can you imagine God’s disappointment? He already had to make a decision about the sinful nature of the people in Noah’s time, and He promised to never destroy everyone again. So He decided to bring division, by going down to the people (through His Spirit) and confusing their speech.
