“For I will fully satisfy the weary soul, and I will replenish every languishing and sorrowful person.” – Jeremiah 31:25
Just like our physical bodies need food to survive, our souls need God’s Word & Truth. In John 6:48 Jesus says that He is the bread of life. My soul is the consumer of this bread. My soul is the part of me where I gather my thoughts, I make decisions and I exercise my will. And this is where I make the conscious decision to follow Jesus, to fully surrender my life to Him. I love the fact that God deem me trustworthy enough, to have given me full control of my own soul. And to top His trust, He made an infallible commitment to pick me up if I should fall.
Prayer: Although we always try to act brave & be strong, we sometimes face fears we just can’t handle on our own. Surrender your fears to God in prayer, and trust Him the same way He trusts you. Our Saviour will never disappoint those who put their faith in Him.
Journal entry: Take a trip down memory lane, and make an entry of the people who positively influenced you on your journey of spiritual growth. And then make another entry of the date / period that changed your life. That point in your life where you made a conscious decision to turn your back on your past, and follow Jesus!
