“Every test that you have experienced is the kind that normally comes to people. But God keeps His promise, and He will not allow you to be tested beyond your power to remain firm; at the time you are put to the test, He will give you the strength to endure it, and so provide you with a way out.” 1 Corinthians 10:13
Trials and tribulations are nothing new, it’s been there since the beginning of time. We all face challenges on a daily basis, and we all sometimes trip and slip-up. But I want to make the bold statement, that recovering from a difficult test is sometimes even more difficult than the test itself. Because it is so easy to fall into self-pity. The answer to a quicker recovery, is God! The moment I realise that it is not about me, I can willingly turn my eyes back to Jesus, and begin to ask God to show me the bigger picture for my life. And even if I don’t see all the pieces of the puzzle, I will have comfort that I’m busy building a piece of Godly art!
Prayer: Dear God, I know that it is sometimes a lot easier said than done, to remain strong and to endure all the tests we go through. But please focus my eyes today on becoming God-confident, because I know that a lot of times it is my own self-reliance that gets me into trouble. You know every obstacle I’m currently facing, and You know every emotion that is accompanying my problems. I don’t want to rely on my own limited solutions any longer, but rather on Your inexhaustible strength to endure this difficulty. I trust Your way out of this! Amen
