Genesis 3: 12-13 “Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.” And the LORD God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” We are specialist in passing the buck! We would rather blame someone else for the mistakes we make in our lives than owning up to the responsibility and consequences of our choices. Neither of them wanted to face God and admit that they sinned. It was easier for man to blame woman and then God, and for the Woman to blame the serpent. If you take a look at your life, how many times have you blamed others for the mistakes that you’ve made? How many times have you blamed God for events that |
happened in your life, due to your actions? But our Creator is a merciful, loving God and He still loves us. Even though he threw them out of Eden, He still spared their lives and blessed them further.
Prayer: Thank you Father for still looking at me with mercy and love even though I blame others or You for my mistakes. Please forgive me my transgressions and please forgive me the times I’ve pointed fingers at someone else but me.
Spiritual Growth: Woman of God, stand up today and take the responsibility of your own actions. What can you do to rectify the damage done in a situation where you blamed others and it caused damage to the relationship.
