Verse: Genesis 2: 22-23 “Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. And Adam said: “This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man.” Carefully God created woman with so much love and intimacy. He caused a deep sleep over man, as not to be disturbed in His creation process. But then He took the woman, and specially brought her to the man. Presenting her to him. Showing the man what He made for him. And man was elated and accepted the women to be his as the gift God made her. Acceptance plays a pivotal role in the lives of women today still. When we feel unaccepted, unwanted or unneeded, it breaks down our very existence of being a woman. |
Even when the world makes you feel unaccepted, unwanted or unneeded - God accepts you the way you are. He created you to be the woman He intended and has accepted you when you were formed in the womb of your mother. If God accepts you, the opinion of the world does not count. Only you count in His eyes.
Prayer: My Creator, help me to understand and know that you have accepted me just the way I am. You look at me with eyes Father, that I am yet to learn. Teach me to know that Your acceptance of me outweighs anything and everything the world can throw at me. Amen.
Spiritual Growth: Take a long look in the mirror. Have you accepted yourself? Everything about yourself? Try today to accept one thing about yourself with which you are unhappy with. Maybe it’s a wrinkle or a grey hair? Maybe you need to dig deeper to your past. But face it today with God and accept who you are in Him.
