Jonah 1:1 - 3 “Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me. But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord.” Discussion: We have all turned our backs on something we were supposed to do. Can you recall something you know you weren’t supposed to do, or supposed to do? It is important to share with each other that we all make mistakes! Prayer: Ask God to help you to come into obedience, even though it is sometimes difficult. And apologize if you know that you have missed it somewhere. Spiritual Growth Challenge: It is never too late to set our wrongs right. Take the time today to do something you have delayed for far too long now (and you know you need to do). There is no need for it to be something spiritual, this is just to get you into the mode of doing, instead of delaying. |
